Logging Exhibit – May – October 26

Ever tried to shoulder a cant dog?  Seen either the Connecticut or Post Pond filled with logs?  This exhibit features artifacts and many photos of logging over 100 years in Lyme.

Lyme Quilts … and Still Does – July – October 26


Come to admire the beauty, craftsmanship, variety and history of over two dozen quilts spanning 200 years.  All have some sort of a Lyme connection, and each one is displayed with its history and a story from the loaning family, from a 1790 “whole cloth” to a pieced masterpiece from 2009.

Chesley Schoolhouse –  September 29 3-5:00

Our final Sunday until next Spring

Location: 161 Baker Hill Rd.

Basically unchanged since it closed its doors in 1959.  19th – 20th c. desks and books from Lyme schools, the old bell from the Hewes Schoolhouse, and photos all displayed along with the old blackboards and walls.  Children accompanied by an adult welcome!  (Best for ages 5 and up)
