While we were closed our museum committee was busy organizing several new exhibits including Lyme in the 1920s; Abenaki artifacts found in Lyme; Shoe manufactory becomes West’s Christmas Store; Victorian parlor; rope bed – hands-on! In the barn: Agricultural, logging and woodworking tools.  Please stop by we know you will find it fascinating!

Chesley Schoolhouse – Open – Last Sunday of the Month from 3p.m. – 5p.m.

Location: 161 Baker Hill Rd.

Basically unchanged since it closed its doors in 1959.  19th – 20th c. desks and books from Lyme schools, the old bell from the Hewes Schoolhouse, and photos all displayed along with the old blackboards and walls.  Children accompanied by an adult welcome!  (Best for ages 5 and up)

First Saturday

From January to April, the first Saturday of the month we will be hosting long time Lyme residents to share his/her stories of life in Lyme.  We are so happy to be able to host these popular events this winter.

Regular opening hours are:

January 1 through April 30

Saturdays 10a.m. – noon

 May 1 – October 9
Wednesdays 3 p.m. – 5p.m.    Saturdays 10 a.m. – noon

 October 12 – November 30
Saturdays, 10 a.m. – noon
